Terms of Service

Last updated October 7, 2026

In short:

  • What you make in Timeless is yours, and it stays on your Mac.
  • Pro starts with 14 days free. Cancel before the trial ends and you’re never charged.
  • Monthly and yearly plans renew on their own until you cancel. Cancel any time and Pro lasts to the end of what you paid for.
  • Payments aren’t refunded, except where the law says they must be.

1. Who you’re dealing with

Timeless is made and sold by Santiago Perez Gutierrez, an individual based in Mexico (“I”, “me”). These terms are an agreement between you and me. They cover the Timeless app for Mac, your Timeless account, Timeless Pro and this website. You can reach me any time at santiago@timeless.builders.

By creating an account or using Timeless, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

  • Timeless asks you to sign in with an email address. Use one you can receive mail at, since that’s how you sign in.
  • You need to be at least 16 to use Timeless, and old enough to make a binding purchase where you live to buy Pro.
  • Your account is for you. Keep access to your email safe, because anyone who can read it can sign in.
  • You can delete your account at any time from the account sidebar in Timeless (Delete Account).

3. What you make is yours

Your notes, stickies, files and spaces are saved on your Mac, not on my servers. I don’t get a copy, and you keep every right to them. Because they live on your Mac, keeping them safe is in your hands too: please back up your Mac (Time Machine works well). I can’t recover anything lost from your device.

Feedback is the exception. When you post an idea on the Feedback & Ideas board, other Timeless users can see it (without your name). You let me show it there and use any suggestion to improve Timeless, without owing you anything for it.

4. Plans and prices

Timeless has a free plan, and Timeless Pro, which adds the features listed on the pricing page. Pro comes as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout, in US dollars. Your bank may add its own currency or card fees.

Payments are handled by Stripe. I never see or store your full card details. Receipts and invoices come from Stripe by email.

5. The free trial

  • A new monthly or yearly subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. Each account gets one trial; an account that has subscribed before starts paying straight away.
  • You add a payment method when the trial starts. Nothing is charged during the trial.
  • When the trial ends, your subscription starts and you’re charged for the plan you picked, unless you’ve cancelled before then. Timeless shows the trial’s end date in the account sidebar.
  • Cancel during the trial and you keep Pro until the trial ends, and you aren’t charged at all.
  • Lifetime has no trial. It’s charged when you buy it.

6. Automatic renewal

Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged for the next period, until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorise these recurring charges.

  • If a price ever changes, I’ll email you at least 30 days before it applies. The new price starts at your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe tries again for a while. If it still can’t be collected, the subscription ends and the account goes back to the free plan.
  • You can switch between monthly and yearly from Manage Subscription.

7. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, in a couple of clicks:

  • In Timeless, open the account sidebar and choose Manage Subscription, then cancel in the page that opens. Or email me and I’ll do it for you.
  • Cancelling stops all future charges. Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve already paid for (or until your trial ends), then the account moves to the free plan.
  • Deleting your account cancels any subscription immediately.
  • Everything you’ve made stays on your Mac after you cancel. You never lose access to your own notes and files because of a plan change.

8. Refunds

Payments are non-refundable. That includes the first charge after a trial, renewals, partly used billing periods and Lifetime purchases. The free trial is there so you can try Pro fully before paying, and cancelling stops the next charge.

This doesn’t take away any right to a refund that the law gives you where you live. If you live in the EU or the UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital services. When your paid plan begins, you ask for Pro to start straight away, and you agree that you lose that right once it has started, as the law allows. If you think you were charged by mistake, email me and I’ll look into it.

9. Lifetime

Lifetime is one payment for Pro on your account for as long as I offer Timeless, with no subscription. It covers the lifetime of Timeless, not of a particular person or Mac. It belongs to your account and can’t be transferred.

10. Using Timeless fairly

Please don’t:

  • Get around the free plan’s limits or Pro’s checks, or share, resell or rent out access to Pro.
  • Copy, modify or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
  • Overload, attack or try to break into Timeless’s servers or other people’s accounts.
  • Post anything unlawful, hateful, spammy or someone else’s private information on the Feedback & Ideas board.

I can remove feedback posts, and suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where I can, I’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. If I close an account without a good reason, I’ll refund the unused part of any paid period.

11. Changes to Timeless

Timeless gets updates that add, change and sometimes remove features. I’ll try hard not to take anything away from Pro, and if a major Pro feature ever goes, subscribers will hear first. Timeless needs macOS 26 or later.

12. No guarantees, and limits on liability

I build Timeless carefully, but it’s provided “as is”. I can’t promise it will always be available or free of bugs. To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, and my total liability to you is limited to what you paid me in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

13. Changes to these terms

If I change these terms in a way that matters, I’ll email you or tell you in the app at least 30 days before the change applies. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using Timeless after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can cancel and delete your account.

14. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. If we ever disagree, please email me first, as most things are sorted out that way. If not, the courts of Mexico decide, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim at home. Consumers keep the protections of their own country’s laws.
